VARIABLE SPEED DRIVE
SmartD’s Smart Drive is the smallest and most efficient variable speed drive to date with integrated short-circuit protection and IoT connectivity.
This integrated motor drive reduces space and labor requirements, while increasing safety, efficiency and temperature resistance. It is roughly half the size of a comparable motor drive (at 25HP), while generating half the heat and being able to sustain temperature 50% higher than comparable motor drives.
It offers an active front-end for total harmonic distortion below 5%, and an optional integrated short-circuit protection.

HOW IT WORKS
The Smart Drive works like your other drives, with some additional features to make installation and commissioning easier:
It is 50% smaller than typical drives.
It has an active front-end (THD < 5%).
It has a removable touchscreen (with cables) that can be put on the front of your panels.
It can be commissioned from your phone via Bluetooth and the SmartD app.
It has Ethernet, BACnet IP and Modbus connectivity for integration to Cloud, BMS and SCADA systems.
Easily configure your drive from your phone using Bluetooth and the SmartD mobile app.

With our solid state short-circuit protection (SS-SCP) and lockable disconnect switch integrated, your panel suddenly looks empty!
Add the optional True-Sine (TS) module, and you are effectively replacing all of these products with your Smart Drive:
Line reactors/harmonic filters replaced by our integrated active front-end.
Sinus filters replaced by our TS module.
Circuit breaker replaced by our SS-SCP.
Modem and PLC replaced by our powerful integrated IoT platform.
Cooling units can often be committed entirely with much less heat dissipated.
Bypass aren’t necessary as our VFD is much more reliable and resistant to heat.

The True-Sine module (TS) uses a much smoother current waveform to control the Smart Drive.
